NBCC members finding out how to make sales fun

Lisette Howlett from Sandler’s training welcomed about 25 NBCC members and their guests to her seminar ‘Grow your business in a challenging market’ on the 15th of October. With her deep knowledge about sales and good sense of humour she was able to keep their full attention for more than an hour on the challenges and pitfalls of being a good salesman. One of her key messages was ‘we are all engaged in a so-called buyer and seller dance without exactly knowing what to expect’. Understanding what is going on in your prospect’s mind and his or her decision making is key. At the end of the day all business owners want to close the deal they are working on. The NBCC audience was a good mixture of solopreneurs and medium –sized business owners and they all joined in with good observations and questions. Our host, ABN AMRO, made sure there was plenty of opportunity to network afterwards accompanied with drinks and nibbles. The seminar was very well received by all who attended and we are looking into organising a similar type of event in 2014.
