Using the RenewableUK Global Offshore Wind conference and exhibition in Glasgow on 11 and 12 June 2014 as the backdrop, the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) will be organising a trade mission to the United Kingdom for Dutch companies operating in the offshore wind sector.
10 Dutch companies, some world market leaders in their field, representing a range of specialisations and expertise in the offshore wind sector, have already confirmed their participation in the two day programme.
A full list of profiles of the participating Dutch companies can be obtained via the NBCC (email@example.com).
The purpose of the visit is to establish contacts between the Dutch suppliers and the UK offshore wind developers. In previous years the NBCC organised similar visits during which match-making meetings were arranged for the Dutch delegates with leading companies operating in the British offshore wind market such as DONG Energy, Vattenfall, Eneco, KBR and Mainstream Renewables, with a view to develop reciprocal business links
Alongside the matchmaking programme, the mission will offer an opportunity for the delegates to visit the Offshore Wind convention and exhibition.
The Dutch delegation will also join a number of local sectoral business events such as the network reception organised by Siemens at the end of 11 June and the ShareFair on 12 June.
The NBCC will be hosting a series of trade missions to the UK in the remainder of 2014 and beyond. These will be dedicated to selected sectors such as cycling, oil and gas and food and drink for which good commercial opportunities are perceived in the UK market.
