Just having a great product or service may not be enough to sell it. But knowing how to communicate its USP and understanding how to connect with your buyer will both help to convert a lead to a sale.
In November, in conjunction with trade association Fenedex, the NBCC delivered a sales training workshop to teach 12 delegates how to do just that. Held in Bunnik in the Netherlands, the training was designed to help businesses selling in to the UK. As well offering general tips and techniques, the workshop also specifically addressed one-to-one selling – helping delegates build the skills and confidence needed for that moment when they are in front of the UK buyer. Sales trainer Lisette Howlett also covered techniques for successfully communicating the USP’s of a product or service to help win buyers over. Michiel van Deursen, CEO of the NBCC, kicked-off the training with a look at the cultural differences between Dutch and British business attitudes.
Positive feedback after the workshop showed that the training had met a real need of many members and the NBCC and Fenedex are now discussing offering the training on a regular basis. If you are interested in taking part in a future event, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
