On the 30th April we were welcomed by our host Howard Kennedy to celebrate the NBCC’s 125th anniversary. After a short introduction about Howard Kennedy and their counterpart Lexence in the Netherlands, Mr Andrew Wood- one of NBCC’s board members- talked about 125 years of Anglo-Dutch trade, the diversity of our members, the relationships with the Dutch and English Embassies and the lobbying role of the NBCC to avoid a so-called ‘Brexit’ of the United Kingdom.
With the coming elections and a possible referendum on the EU the NBCC is showing, through market reports, research and discussions, the importance of bi-lateral trade and investments for both countries and the importance for the United Kingdom remaining in the EU. The NBCC is looking forward to another 125 years of successful Anglo-Dutch trade and an expanding membership base.
The people present were a good reflection of the NBCC membership base; entrepreneurs, SME companies and large companies accompanied with their guests. They were networking over drinks and nibbles enjoying the magnificent views over London.
