Brexit - what would happen if Britain left the EU?

In a recent article published in the leading British newspaper The Guardian,  the possible effects of a departure of the UK from the European Union on growth, jobs, trade, immigration and Britain's position in the world have been assessed. Eurosceptics argue that withdrawal would reverse immigration, save the taxpayer billions and free Britain from an economic burden.
