Over 200 guests attended the event that the NBCC, together with 7 bi-lateral Chambers and trade promotional organisations organised at the end of last year in Amsterdam.
The event was focused on the Dutch European Presidency in the first half year of 2016. This exceptional occasion brought together the members of all the participating Chambers, in co-operation with Amsterdam Inbusiness, the official investment agency of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area.
Guests were given the opportunity to visit the Europe Building, that will be at the very heart of the meetings during the up-coming Dutch Presidency of the Council of Ministers of the European Union from January 1st 2016.
After brief introductions of all the organising parties, Mr Han-Maurits Schaapveld, the host of the event as Director Central Project organisation EU Presidency 2016, addressed the guests on the organisational side of the Dutch EU Presidency, followed by Joost Flamand, acting Director European Integration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs who gave an excellent insight in the highlights of the Dutch European Presidency.
The formal part of the session was followed by a networking cocktail which offered a unique opportunity for members of the various business clubs to meet.
