NBCC Drinks Reception: NL Election Night in the House of Commons
Countdown to Start Date

As the date of the NBCC NL Election Night approaches, it is my pleasure to extend a formal invitation to you to join us for this important occasion on 29 October. The event will take place at the Terrace Dining Room, House of Commons, from 18:30 to 22:00 (UK time), and is kindly hosted by Clive Betts MP (Labour), Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for the Netherlands.
This election marks a decisive moment in determining the Netherlands’ future path on issues such as migration, climate, housing, and EU relations. As we gather, we do so not only to reflect on these critical developments but also to reaffirm the strength and forward-looking nature of the trade relationship between our nations.
We are honoured to be joined by distinguished speakers, including:
- H.E. Mr Paul Huijts, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
- Mr Clive Betts MP (Labour), Chair of the APPG for the Netherlands
- Mr Rem Korteweg, Senior Research Fellow, Clingendael Institute
- Ms Fleur Launspach, Correspondent UK & Ireland, NOS
- Mr Arjen van der Horst, Correspondent UK and Ireland, NOS, Nieuwsuur and VPRO
- Mr Faisal Janjua, Partner International Tax, Grant Thornton Netherlands
- Mr Bart van Osch, Senior Director, I&S Tax and Automotive Industry Leader, PwC Netherlands
