We would like to invite you to an exclusive drinks’ reception at the House of Lords ahead of the upcoming 2026 EU–UK Summit later in July.

The evening will provide an opportunity to exchange views on the evolving EU–UK relationship in a shifting geopolitical context, with a particular focus on the role of sovereignty in shaping the next phase of cooperation.

As both sides look to reinvigorate their partnership, the discussion will explore how ambitions for greater strategic autonomy and economic growth — including in trade, regulation, and key sectors — interact with the need for closer collaboration. Against this backdrop, we will consider whether the UK will continue to choose Europe, and to what extent the EU is willing to include the UK within its vision of European sovereignty — and what this means in practice for businesses and policymakers.
