We would like to invite you to a Trade & Regulation Roundtable hosted by the UK Government’s Department for Business and Trade with VNO-NCW, the NBCC and the British Embassy in the Hague. These will be held at the Malietoren on 4^th February 2025 from 10h till 12h. Afterwards, we would like to offer you a lunch. The Malietoren is located on Bezuidenhoutseweg 12, The Hague. The Roundtable will be held in room 6.07 – 6^th floor.

This roundtable is aimed at gathering views from industry on regulatory challenges when trading with the UK. This regulatory challenges may be related to product standards, testing, certification or labelling requirements that businesses must comply with to trade goods between the EU and the UK. We are also interested in hearing what is working well regarding regulatory requirements and trade.

Discussions will explore:

1. Experiences of Dutch businesses when trading non-food goods withthe UK, including any regulatory challenges or what is working well.
2. Business’experience of UK regulatory development, such as CE recognition, and their ability to navigate the UK’s regulatory environment when trading with the UK.
3. Views on current Netherlands-UK supply chains, including opportunities and challenges.

By sharing your experiences, you’ll help us understand the key issues facing businesses trading between the EU and the UK and enable us to develop and advocate for policy solutions to make trading with the UK easier for businesses.

This event is part of a wider engagement programme aimed at gathering views on potential reforms to the UK’s regulatory framework, assessing their impact on businesses and consumers, and identifying opportunities to reduce administrative burdens.
