The Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) is looking for an: TRAINEE SME’s OFFERING

Job purpose:

NBCC is looking for a result-driven, proactive, highly efficient and customer-centric trainee, in the last years of her/his study. You will join the team in London or The Hague. You will be responsible during your traineeship for strengthening and implementing our offering to small and medium sized companies (SME’s) who want to export to or invest in the UK or the Netherlands. You will work in close cooperation with ambitious colleagues, members and key stakeholders to help our SME members gain insights, connections, representation and
grow their British-Dutch business.

Content of traineeship:

• Planning
• Collecting, analysing and presenting either quantitative or qualitative research on:
• How can the Netherlands British Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) improve offering,
  marketing and communication towards SMEs in the best possible way?
• What are the needs of SME’s in the Netherlands and UK? Conduct research by mapping
  their needs.
• How should the NBCC use that data in their offering, marketing plan and communication
  strategy towards SME’s?
• Are the CRM and marketing tools that the NBCC is currently using effective? What are the
  advantages and disadvantages of the media with which they currently conduct their
  marketing? How can this be optimised?

Operational support:

• All communication related to an effective marketing campaign for our SME activities events
• including sending out invitations, event review, event announcement, ‘thank you for coming’
  email, feedback surveys.
• Work closely with colleagues, board members, sponsors and members to mix and match
  activities and insights that address the most relevant themes and topics of interest and
  importance to our SME members.
• Implementation of the SME Offering re CRM, website, trade portals, member directories and
  on-site event management.
• Analyzing KPIs for each activity, and providing feedback.

All about you

• Study curriculum should include market research, quantitative and qualitative.Customer centric attitude, you put our SME members/customers and their needs at the heart of everything you do.
• Ability to plan activities (macro & detail) and solve problems.
• Team player: highly collaborative individual, self-starter, providing support as and when needed, even when it is outside the direct scope job since we are a small team.
• Result driven and getting things done: an optimistic, positive and commercial mindset with an eagerness to achieve results and go above and beyond.
• Confident communicator in English who excels at internal and external stakeholder management.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Mailchimp, CRM and social media are a plus.

You will report to the Executive Director Membership of NBCC.
